From first call to sign-off

01

Survey and inspect

We come out, look at what you have got, and test it properly rather than at a glance.

02

A clear quote

One price for the job, to building regulations, with any remedial work listed on its own so you can see what is what.

03

We deliver

We plan the work around how the building is used, including evenings, weekends and round the clock when the site cannot stop.

04

Signed off clean

Certified and documented, ready for an inspector, an insurer or a tender.

When the cheapest quote becomes the most expensive job

A cheap EICR is priced per circuit, and the engineer gets about five minutes on each one. That is not long enough to work out what the circuit actually does, so it comes back as a page of limitations. Then you pay again for a remedial to find out what you have.

We have seen a £500 report turn into a £10,000 remedial bill. We would rather charge properly for the inspection, give the engineer time to read what each circuit is telling them, and leave you knowing where you stand.

What you get from us

A report you can use

It tells you what is wrong and what needs doing, not a list of things that might be.

The full price at the start

We quote for what the job needs to pass building regs, so nothing new appears halfway through.

Work that stands up

Ready for a building inspector, an insurer or a tender.

Four services we focus on

We also do smart home and automation, data and networking and EV charging. The audio visual side is handled by our sister company, OBAV. Smart home and automation Data and networking EV charging Services overview

Inspection and testing

Anyone can test a circuit. We give the engineer time to work out what the readings mean, so the report comes back with far fewer limitations than the cheap per-circuit testing. Arrange an EICR

Energy saving

We survey your building for free and show you what switching to LED would save. On most commercial sites it pays for itself inside five years. Book a free survey

Main panels and power

Intake panels and distribution for buildings that cannot lose supply. We swapped a main panel at a Chichester university lab over three days on backup generators, without stopping the science. View power and panels

Electric heating

For buildings that are hard to heat. Radiant heaters warm a sports hall from the ceiling, and heated pews warm the person the way a car seat does, rather than the whole church. View electric heating

Recent work

What this covers
01
University, intake panel
A £310k intake panel, swapped over three days on backup generators, with no loss of power to the labs.
02
Office, LED
A commercial lighting upgrade. Lower bills, and a lot less time up a ladder changing tubes.
03
Church, heating
Heated pews fitted to warm the congregation, not the whole building.

Questions clients ask

How much does a commercial EICR cost

It depends on the building and how many circuits, so we price it after a look rather than guessing on the phone. You get one price for the inspection, and any remedial work quoted on its own, so you can see exactly what is what.

How often do I need one

Most commercial premises need one every five years, or when the tenancy changes. A rented property needs a current certificate, and some insurers ask for one sooner.

Do you work out of hours

Yes. A lot of our work is done in the evenings, at weekends or round the clock, because the building cannot always stop for us. School work we do in the holidays.

What areas do you cover

Across the South East from our base in East Sussex, taking in Kent, Surrey and West Sussex. We will go further for the right job, as we did for the university work in Chichester.
